(Bastrop) – The Bastrop Independent School District Board of Trustees discussed the merits of a proposed $85 million bond in a special meeting held on Monday, February 13 and again Thursday, February 16. On March 1, 2017 the application process for student transfers will open. Transfer information is available in the Parent Resources section of our website. We are so proud to announce the recipients of the 3rd six weeks 212° and IT award honorees. These dedicated staff members were surprised to see Mr. Murray pay them a visit recently (see Latest Video).
(Bastrop)—The Child Development Center at Cedar Creek Elementary has earned a 4-star designation by the Texas Rising Star program. The rating is the highest awarded by Texas Rising Star, which is a program of the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). The Cedar Creek facility joins the Child Development Center at Emile Elementary, which had previously earned its 4-star designation.
(Bastrop)--Bastrop Middle School theater students will make history when they perform We Will Rock You The Musical at the Jerry Fay Wilhelm Performing Arts Center. This will mark the first time a middle school has performed the musical on any stage in the world since it typically is performed by high school students and young adults. A total of 75 students are involved in the historic production, which opens Friday.
